History of the Tensions

Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated as Pakistan fired missiles at India following India's Operation Sindoor by the Indian Army to target terror camps in Pakistan. India responded by shooting down Pakistan's missiles, fighter aircraft, and drones. The operation was meant to root out terror cells in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) following a fatal terror attack last month in Pahalgam.
